Student Competition 2024

Our Student Comp is set to return on 20th October 2024! Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, our Student Bouldering Competition is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, meet fellow climbers from other universities, and have a great time on the wall.

Pre Comp Registration

To make your check-in process quicker at the till, please pre-register for the comp here (This registration is for the comp and scorecard). On the day, you will still be charged the entry fee unless you have a prepaid membership. Please note that all competitors must be registered to Bloc, and if you are under 18, you must be supervised at all times. Unless you have previously been signed off at Bloc, you cannot climb without adult supervision.

The Format

Our competition will feature a variety of problems tailored to different experience levels. From beginner-friendly, that focus on technique to advanced routes that will push your strength and creativity, there's something for everyone.

Purple Holds

The majority of the comp is set using our purple hold range, making it easy to find each problem around the centre. Each climb will be numbered with a tag that corresponds to your scorecard which will be given to you when signing in at reception.

Timings and scoring

Check in anytime from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM and receive your scorecard, whether you're solo or bringing a group of friends, we encourage everyone to preregister which is easy and open to all students, simply visit the link above to sign up and secure your spot. 5:00 PM scorecard handed in with winners to be announced shortly after! The winning University will be based on the top 4 competitors from each competing uni.
