Clip 'n Climb Open Session Bristol

Discover the Clip ’n Climb walls at Bristol’s independent Bloc gym. Challenge yourself on colour-coded routes and enjoy a relaxed, social climbing experience at your own pace. For everyone's safety and to ensure you have the best experience, we require all adults to complete an in-person induction with one of our instructors before booking your climbing time. This short session will cover our equipment and essential safety procedures.

Course Information

These self led sessions are a great way to experince roped climbing without the need of a partner. Please be aware that these sessions are walk-ins only, no need to book. Use the schedule button to see when these sessions are running. If you would like to have more stucture to a session then follow the link to our Clip 'n Climb sessions.

Weekdays 9:00 - 20:00

Weekends 10:00 - 18:00

Open sessions often run alongside our standard sessions, school or extracurricular group sessions. When these are scheduled, availability for open sessions may be limited.

For a safe experience at our facilities, please note our supervision guidelines for young climbers:
* Children aged 4-6 years: 1:1 adult supervision.
* Youngsters aged 6-18 years: 2:1 supervision ratio.
Supervising adults must complete an in-person induction with our instructors. Registered climbers may supervise a maximum of two individuals aged 6 and above.

The Leap of Faith is closed during these sessions.

- Please note only Bloc climbing harnesses are suitable for these sessions.
- Please wear gym type clothes and trainers.
- Only pay if climbing, no charge for spectators. 
- Parking: we have a car park at the rear of the building which can be accessed via Extract Coffee Roasters. Please do not park on the road once you pass our entrance.   

Standard climbing entry price plus £3.50 harness hire*

*If you have a membership at Bloc then you receive harness hire for free.

We require 48 hours' notice before the event date in order to cancel and rebook. Please send us a message on the contact us link below in order to cancel. As soon as the office is open, someone will be in touch. The office is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm including bank holidays.
