Great news from the Bloc Climbing team in Bristol, our centre is about to get much bigger and better! Many of you will have noticed the work going on next door and we can now announce that we are expanding the centre and almost doubling our floor space. With three main features there really will be something for everyone.
Firstly, we’re excited to launch Bristol’s only Clip ‘n Climb facility with automated belay systems and colourful, varied climbing, which will be great fun for the kids (although we’re pretty excited to give it a try too!). With sessions running 7 days a week there’ll always a good time to climb. Whether you want to bring the kids for a fully supervised, challenging activity whilst you relax in the café or boulder nearby or you’d like join in with the fun of clipping and encouraging the little ones to reach for the top, the online booking system will make it easy to plan ahead or check availability on the day. With a Speed Climb challenge, Dark Tower, Leap of Faith and many other fun elements to try, we think this will be super popular and a unique feature in Bristol.
Secondly, Banana Fingers, which is arguably the best stocked climbing shop in the south west, are opening their first physical shop in the unit so if you want to buy some shoes, clothing or simply browse, this will be the place to come. Renowned for their excellent customer service and keen pricing it’s wonderful to work with a company whose ethos matches our own.
Last but not least, there will also two new bouldering areas, one for the smaller children, age up to 10 and a family bouldering space which at weekends will focus on catering for families, groups and older children. We’ll be opening this area up to everyone at certain times so we can all enjoy the funky new wall and some extra space on those busy evenings.
You don’t have to wait long as, all being well, we’ll be opening this new space at the end of October, so keep an eye on the website and Facebook page here for the latest news and offers. We look forward to welcoming you!
In the meantime here are some photos and videos………….
More climbing, more fun!
